Slea Head Drive

The Dingle Peninsula is northwest of Killarney and is a spectacular scenic drive through the Gaeltacht, an area where the first language is Irish. It’s a perfect half-day trip if you’re staying at Knockcarrig House. The route takes you from Killarney to beautiful Inch beach, around breath-taking coastlines, to the bustling creative town of Dingle, where you’ll find restaurants, artisan shops, and heritage sites. You’ll pass through exhilarating roads with remarkable views, and you’ll be able to visit prehistoric forts and beehive huts, early Christian sites, the second-highest mountain in Ireland, as well as local museums, shops, bars, and much more.
